COVID-19 Update

Hello! Whilst there are no current restrictions in place we realise that some of our customers may still feel vulnerable; please don’t hesitate to get in contact with us to discuss how we can help. We realise that it can be quite daunting when something goes wrong in your house and for those who are still concerned about COVID-19 it can be even more stressful.

Below is the guidance we had in place whilst government restrictions were in place; please ask us if you’d like us to implement any other following during a visit and we would be more than happy to.

What Proactive Plumbing Solutions will do before and during a visit to your home

We’re keeping a close eye on the government guidance about working in people’s homes. We understand that the situation is unnerving and have already joined the ‘Safe in Your Home’ scheme run by Worcester Bosch. In addition to this we’ll be doing the following:

  • Before we visit we’ll discuss the work and ascertain how to work within the current social distancing guidelines at your property.

  • We will ask you if anyone at the property is shielding, self-isolating or has symptoms of coronavirus. We’ll also ask if anyone is ‘at risk’ i.e. over 70, or with underlying health issues.

  • When we visit we may ask to have a discussion about the work outdoors instead of inside.

  • We’ll be using hand-sanitiser and will be asking where there is a water source that we can access during our visit.

  • We’ll be wearing gloves and a mask where/when appropriate.

  • We’ll clean objects and surfaces that we touch before leaving the property.

How you can prepare for our visit

  • Discuss what access there is with us, and how easy social distancing is within your property.

  • Discuss the status of your household with us; is anyone shielding, self-isolation or has COVID 19 symptoms? Is anyone ‘at risk’ i.e. over 70, or with underlying health issues.

  • Prewarn all household members to stay in another room whilst we work.

  • Let us know where there is running water that we can use.

  • Please clear a pathway to the working area before we visit.

  • Please ventilate the area where work is going to take place.

  • Clean any doors handles and surfaces in advance of our visit.

Whilst we’re at your property

  • Please maintain a safe distance at all times… there’s no need to shake hands, a simple nod will do!

  • Do feel free to ask us about the safety measures we have in place.

  • There’s no need to offer us a cuppa – we’ll be sure to have our own drinks.

  • If you want to wear a face covering too please do so.

As you are aware this is an ever-changing situation and government guidance is adapting all of the time. If you want to look at the most recent guidance about having work done in your home please look at the following webpage:
