Thinking of getting a new bathroom in 2023?

Bathroom design has come a long way since the days of basic porcelain fixtures and drab tiles. Nowadays, bathrooms are so much more than just a functional space – they're a place for pampering, relaxation and self-expression. In this post, we'll explore some of the latest trends in bathroom design.

  1. Bold Colours: We're saying goodbye to neutral tones and hello to bold, bright hues. Whether you opt for a statement wall or accent pieces, adding a pop of colour to your bathroom is a great way to inject some personality. Just imagine a deep jewel-toned wall, or a shower tiled with a rainbow of colours. Talk about a mood-booster!

  2. Statement Tiles: Tiles are no longer just a functional necessity in the bathroom. Today, they're a statement piece, with intricate patterns, bold graphics and eye-catching shapes. You can create a stunning focal point with a feature wall, or add some interest to your shower with bold, geometric shapes. The possibilities are endless!

  3. Luxury Showers: Gone are the days of basic showerheads and dull tiles. Today, showers are all about luxury, with features like multiple showerheads and body jets. Some showers even come with built-in sound systems and chromotherapy lighting – talk about spa vibes!

  4. Freestanding Bathtubs: Freestanding bathtubs are making a big splash in bathroom design. They add a touch of elegance and luxury to any space and can be styled to suit your personal taste. Whether you opt for a traditional clawfoot tub or a modern, geometric shape, a freestanding bathtub is a statement piece that will have you feeling like royalty.

  5. Smart Technology: Technology is making its way into the bathroom, with smart toilets, showerheads, and mirrors becoming increasingly popular. You can now control your shower from your phone, have a hands-free flushing toilet, or even see a virtual wardrobe in your mirror. The future is now, people!

So, there you have it, folks! From bold colours to smart technology, bathroom design is definitely on the up and up. Whether you're a fan of luxurious showers or statement tiles, there's something for everyone. If you’d like to discuss your ideas please do get in touch with us at stu@proactiveplumbingsolutions.co.uk and we’ll make your dream bathroom become a reality!

Amazing customer feedback!

It’s always lovely to hear back from our customers! We’re extremely proud to have received this glowing report today:

“We asked Stu to do our cloakroom after viewing his workmanship at our neighbours'. The task was a complete refurbishment of our cloakroom and we had everything except the door replaced. The finished result was amazing and much better than we dared hope. Off the back of this excellent work, we invited Stu to do our bathroom and once again he did an amazing job.
Stu is exceptionally hardworking, always on time, excellent communicator, exudes professionalism in his attitude, is courteous and respectful, has excellent technical skills and an incredible eye for detail, settling for nothing less than perfect. It is worth pointing out that whilst Proactive Plumbing Solutions may have plumbing as their core business, Stu is in fact an excellent - repeat - excellent decorator as well and his tiling work in both our cloakroom and main bathroom was nothing short of awesome! Highly highly recommended!!”

Gas Safety Week 2021 - 13th to 19th September

social media post Instagram 1200 x 1200.png

It's Gas Safety Week next week! The 13th to the 19th September to be precise.

We've pledged our support, but what does that mean? Here’s how the Gas Safety Register explain their campaign:

“Gas Safety Week is an annual safety week to raise awareness of gas safety and the importance of taking care of your gas appliances. It is coordinated by us, the Gas Safe Register, the official list of gas engineers who are legally allowed to work on gas.

Badly fitted and poorly serviced gas appliances can cause gas leaks, fires, explosions and carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning. CO is a highly poisonous gas that can kill quickly and without warning, as you cannot see it, taste it or smell it.  By taking care of your gas appliances properly you are taking care of your home and your loved ones.”

We're here to help too, so if you need any advice feel free to email stu@proactiveplumbingsolutions.co.uk or call 01242300173.

Shower room makeover

Hello! Apologies that we haven’t posted much - we’ve been really busy here at Proactive Plumbing HQ so we thought it was about time we shared some photos of the work we’ve carried out over the past few months (perhaps the last year?!). This is an en suite that we finished last year - what do you think? If you’re intersted in a bathroom upgrade please do get in touch with us (you can email us at stu@proactiveplumbingsolutions.co.uk or call 01242 300173 / 07835107651).

Beautiful bathroom makeover - before and after!

We were asked to makeover a bathroom here in Bishop’s Cleeve at the end of last year. The property was having a full makever and the bathroom was one of the last things to be done. Luckily we were given some before and after photos by the owner so you can see how much difference the beautiful new bathroom has made:

Before - Basin and bath

Before - Basin and bath

After - Beautiful clean lines and fresh colours!

After - Beautiful clean lines and fresh colours!

Before - Bath and tiles

After - Modern bath, shower, tiles and some greenery!

Modern bathroom in Bishop's Cleeve

Last year we worked on a bathroom revamp in Bishop’s Cleeve with a modern edgy feel. The panels on the wall really go well with the lit bathroom mirror.

We really like the way that the basin/worktop seem to have been made for the space and give a really tidy clean finish to the room!

Wall panels instead of traditional tiles have been on trend recently. They’re easy to fit, hardwearing and deliver a watertight finish. They’re versatile too and can be used where you would normally have tiles or as a general wallcovering. This bathroom provides a really good example of where they’ve been used creatively and with flair!

Lovely feedback form the customer too: “Stu re-fitted our en-suite and we can honestly say that in the course of our home renovation, he has been the best person we have ever employed. His attention to detail is second to none, and nothing is ever a problem. We are thrilled with the job and would highly recommend him.”
